Maurice Ashley helped initiative the Chess in Africa program , and will be heading to Botswana and Zambia in June to train the trainers to help transform the learners there.

Vinous Multimedia just published an outstanding article on the complete vertical of Allison Tauziet’s Colgin IX Estate Syrah (vintages 2002-2013), with excellent ratings.  These wines are made in very tiny quantity but are extremely special in that Allison and her team pay very close attention to every detail of farming this fruit.  Allison adores making the Syrah.  These wines are exotic, intriguing and indulgent all at the same time.
