Allison Tauziet says, “The exciting news for me and Colgin is that we were just recently given a perfect 100 point rating for 3 of our wines in the recent Wine Advocate journal. It’s a major distinction in the wine world!” Congratulations, Allison!

Chris Bevans sends his greetings from Japan and Hong Kong, where he is doing a press tour for his new collection, which includes an element of wearable tech with a NFC chip embedded in the garment that communicates with the customer’s cell phone once in proximity. This collection also includes a collaboration with Schoeller Textiles, an innovative textile technology designer based in Switzerland.

In July of 2015, Gillian Caldwell relocated her family to London and was appointed the Executive Director of Global Witness, which has 100 staff globally and offices in London, Beijing and Washington DC. Many of the world’s worst environmental and human rights abuses are driven by the exploitation of natural resources and corruption in the global political and economic system. Global Witness is campaigning to end this. They carry out hard-hitting investigations, expose these abuses, and campaign for change. They are independent, not-for-profit, and work with partners around the world in our fight for justice. It has been a fast and furious few months, but Gillian and her family have landed on their feet and her new job is a perfect fit for her passion and experience!

On November 27th Christine Sun Kim’s first solo exhibit in London, Rustle Tustle, opened at the Carroll/Fletcher Art Gallery. In the press:

Earlier this month, Tenzin Priyadarshi was a key speaker and contributor at “Territorios por la Paz,” a conference and initiative sponsored by the National Federation of Regional Delegates (Fenalper) held in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. The purpose of this gathering was to provide a safe space to discuss the regional challenges and possible solutions and actions needed to promote sustainable peace between the Colombian regions. CNN featured an interview with Sultan Al Qassemi focused on Donald Trump’s proposed ban on muslims.

In 2016, the SXSW Interactive Hall of Fame will induct Baratunde Thurston, whose career exemplifies the festival’s values of creativity, innovation, and inspiration. In SXSW words: As a “tech-infused comedian, writer, and cultural critic,” Thurston has encouraged us to embrace both our sense of discovery and our sense of humor. The SXSW Interactive Festival Hall of Fame recognizes those trendsetters whose career accomplishments have paved the future of the new media industry. Congratulations, Baratunde!
